International Development
In 2005, Europorte became the first private company to haul a freight train between France and Germany. As a subsidiary of an international group, Europorte France aims to expand its activities internationally, particularly within Europe.
In 2021, Europorte France became the first rail freight company in France to obtain the ERA Single Safety Certificate, allowing it to operate in several countries under its own operating authorizations (license and certificate) and with its rolling stock and staff without any break of load. Europorte thus serves all of Belgium and Germany in open access.
To achieve this, Europorte had to develop specific skills and train its staff on foreign networks as well as in foreign languages. This expertise also relies on the approval procedures for its various equipment (locomotives) and the recruitment of experienced and qualified foreign supervisors.
As a member of ATTI, the company also offers its customers connections with neighboring European countries, in partnership with carefully selected companies. Building on the ISO and MASE certifications held within the group’s industrial activities, partner recruitment and selection follow standardized and closely monitored procedures.
Europorte France provides high-quality services combining operational safety, continuity and punctuality of train operations, real-time monitoring, and personalized communication.
Holder of the Single Safety Certificate (CSU) issued in December 2025 by the EBA, the German Federal Railway Authority, Europorte Deutschland can operate trains entirely autonomously between France, Germany, and Belgium.
